Exercise can help people with MS improve balance, coordination, strength, and overall well-being. Activities such as stretching, hip marching, Pilates movements, leg exercises, and arm raises can support stability, flexibility, and muscle control, which may help reduce fall risk and improve mobility. Regular physical activity — ideally about 150 minutes per week — may also benefit cardiovascular health, mood, fatigue, and cognitive function. Because MS symptoms and abilities vary, it’s important to start slowly, rest as needed, and work with a healthcare provider or physical therapist to create a safe exercise routine.
